Beyond the Choir, an online hub for grassroots change agents, recently posted a nifty tool called the “Tactic Star” that they developed to help organizers determine which tactics to use, and when. The eight points of the star correspond to eight angles to consider:
Organizing for change is both an art and a science. But as the folks at Beyond the Choir rightly point out, “The more we study our contexts, the better we become at judging when to pull which punches. Careful planning of our methods beforehand and honest evaluation afterwards go a long way towards achieving our advocacy goals. The Tactic Star can help!
